[ESP/ENG] La fortuna favorece a quien se prepara

El arte de la guerra dice que aquél que conoce a su enemigo y se conoce a sí mismo, no deberá temer por el resultado de cien batallas.

El mismo día de la partida contra Martin, unas horas más tarde me enfrenté a Ricardo, en el último duelo a jugarse ese día en Masters Of War. Ricardo es sin duda un pintor espectacular y un muy buen jugador de Aleph que había derrotado, ese mismo día, al buen Pana; dicha partida puede resumirse en la siguiente imagen:

The same day when I played against Martin, hours later I battle with Ricardo, in the last game of that day at Masters of War. Ricardo is without any doubts a spectacular painter and also a very good Aleph player that, hours before, had defeated the Tohaa army of Luis (The Pana); you can see a clear resume of that match in the next image:

Por segunda vez me enfrentaba a Proxies y por tercera vez a Ricardo quien me había ganado ya en las tres veces anteriores. La mesa estaba bastante cargada lo cual me agrada mucho puesto que así tienes que usar más la ardilla.

Second chance against Proxies and third time against Richard whose victory rate against me was 3-0. The table for this match was very dense and that’s the way I like it! 

El despliegue por parte de ambos fue del tipo defensivo, además de que él contaba con un factor sorpresa debido a que contaba con un TO desplegado (El proxy con MULTI Francotirador). Sus antenitas cayeron sin problemas y solamente quedó completamente visible el proxy Mk.4. Un Dasyus falló una infiltración y tuvo que comenzar desde su zona de espliegue.

Boths deployments were conservative, defensive. The situation here is that she has a surprise factor: a hidden TO troop (I was almost sure that it was the Proxy with MULTI Sniper). Her AI Beacons landed successfully and the only visible troop was his Mk.4 Proxy. Just a Dasyus failed his infiltration roll so he ended at the borderline. 

Por mi parte todo estaba a cubierto, solamente dejando al Tsyklon con Feurerbach visible en caso de que el Mk.4 avanzara a mitad de la mesa.

For me, everything was under cover but the Tsyklon with Feurerbach.  It was placed for response only if the Mk4 Proxy reaches the half of the table. 

Ronda 1 / Round 1
Turno / Turn – Aleph

Ricardo decidió comenzar por lo que empleé un Token de Mando para reducir en dos órdenes su primer grupo. Comenzó con un avance por parte de su Proxy Mk. 4 para poder tener a tiro a mi Tsyklon FB quien al tener a tiro al esbirro de Aleph, logró un crítico que junto a una herida más, le mandó a la lona. Tal situación -no esperada por Ricardo- le hizo emplear un TR quien, una vez ya con disparo asistido, avanzó por las azoteas para colocarse en una posición privilegiada de defensa. Después avanzó con Scylla y su sincronizado para buscar conectar la primera de las Antenas de su sección lo cuál logró sin problemas. De igual forma, empleó su Asura para poder conectar la segunda y, tras mover algunas piezas sobre la mesa, terminó su primer turno.

Ricardo went first so I spent a Command Token to reduce his first group to only 8 orders. He started moving his Mk.4 until he got my Tsyklon in range who took him out with a critic and another wound. That situation was not expected by him so he made another move: added Assisted fire to his TR who moved into the highest position on the ground and took control of almost all the table. After that, Scylla and her remote were moved to connect one of his Antennas and also his Asura moved again to control another one on his side of the table. 

Turno / Turn – Corregidor

Para mi turno comencé con emplear a mi Tsyklon para eliminar al TR lo cuál también salió de maravilla. Finalmente tras tener eliminados ambas amenazas existentes, movilicé a mis Moran para tratar de capturar ambas antenas y fallé en una de ellas. Sin más que hacer, planteé mis koalas y le dí Disparo Asistido a mi Tsyklon Spitfire y lo movilicé al centro del campo, en una encrucijada por la que se tenía que pasar si se quería acercar a alguna de las antenas del centro.

For my turn, I used my Tsyklon for taking out the TR with a very nice success. Finally, after taking out the two visible threats, I moved my Morans with the intention of taking both their nearest antennas but I failed in one of them. Without any more things to do, I activated my koalas and then give Assisted Fire to my Tsyklon with Spitfire and moved him in the center of the field, into a crossroad that had a line of fire to four antennas. 

Ronda 2 / Round 2
Turno / Turn – Aleph

Para comenzar su turno, lanzó al remoto de Scylla hacia adelante para hacer explotar los Koalas del Moran que se encontraba cerca pero, gracias a mi repetidor, logré inmobilizarlo con el Wildcat de AHD, lo malo es que los Koalas no lograron su objetivo. Después, movilizo a Scylla a rango de mi repetidor y tanto mi Hacker del equipo enlazado como mi Wildcat se enfrentaron a Scylla a la cual lograron inmobilizar y además desconectar pues a través del Blackout logré joderle su equipo de hackeo. Después entonces, movilizó a su Asura a capturar su tercera antena y apareció la Proxy TO la cual logró mandar a estado de inconsciencia a mi Tsyklon de FB.

Starting his turn, he moved Scylla’s remote for taking out the nearest koalas but, thanks to my repeater, the remote got inmobilized thanks to my Wildcat AHD, the bad news ere that the koalas didn’t make it burn. After that, Scylla got inside the repeaters area and both my Hacker on the Fireteam and the Wildcat hacked her successfully with Blackout and Carbonite. After that, he moved his Asura for capturing the third antenna on his side and then the Proxy TO came out and took out my FB Tsyklon into the first unconscious state. 

Turno / Turn – Corregidor

Con una orden menos, tenía que eliminar las amenazas que tenía inmediatas sino las cosas se iban a complicar más, así que comenzamos con emplear al Hacker del equipo enlazado para hacer Brain Blast con lo cual logramos mandarla a la lona. Una vez realizado asegurado ese perímetro, el Wildcat Hacker capturó la antena que el Moran no había logrado capturar anteriormente. Tras darle nuevamente Disparo Asistido a mi Tsyklon Spitfire, me lancé para atacar al Proxy TO quien cayó muerto ante el fuego de mi remoto, tras salir airoso, regresé a mi posición central y coloqué al Tsyklon en Fuego de Supresión. Finalmente avancé con mi equipo de Alguaciles por mi corredor izquierdo y me lancé a enfrentarme a su Asura, a la cual logré eliminar con mi Alguacil HMG.

With one less order, I had to take out all the nearest threats for avoiding future complications so, I used my Hacker with Brain Blast to take out Scylla. Once Scylla was dead, the Wildcat Hacker took the Antenna that the Moran failed to do before. After giving again Assisted fire to my Tsyklon with Spitfire, I move him to take out the TO Proxy and I did it! After taking out him, I moved my Tsyklon to the central zone and put it into suppression fire. After that, I moved my Alguaciles Link Team through the left corridor and started the firefight against his Asura, who died thanks to my HMG fire. 

Ronda 3 / Round 3
Turno / Turn – Aleph

Con las órdenes que le quedaban trató de avanzar uno de sus remotos hacia adelante para intentar capturar una de las antenas pero mi enlace de Alguaciles le detuvo, dado que estaba en pérdida de teniente, empleó sus tokens de mando para cambiar sus órdenes irregulares a regulares e intentar, con un Myrmidon, desbaratar el equipo enlazado pero, para su mala suerte, solamente cayó mi Paramédico y el Myrmidon quedó hecho trizas.

With the few orders he had, he tried with his remotes some movement but my Alguaciles link team took them out. As he was in lost of lieutenant, he spent his command tokens to turn Irregular orders into regular ones to make his Myrmidon move and attack my entire team with his template weapon but only my Paramedic got unconscious and the Myrmidon was shattered into meat pieces. 

Turno / Turn – Corregidor

Al comenzar mi turno, reparé a mi Tsyklon FB para tratar de sacar la mayor cantidad de PV posibles de este encuentro; después lancé a mi Wildcat AHD por un par de antenas lo cual salió exitosamente. Dado que solo me quedaba matar al HVT con mi Datatracker y el Clasificado, intenté hacer el clasificado con mi Hacker sobre el HVT y… falle miserablemente. Teniendo ordenes aún en el grupo del Moran, intenté también con él (Observador de Artilleria) y fallé nuevamente. Totalmente harto, Lupe (mi Datatracker) eliminó al HVT.

First, I repaired my Tsyklon FB for gaining the more quantity of VP and after that, I send my Wildcat for a pair of Antennas and there were no problems there. For an absolute victory, I needed to take out the HVT with my Datatracker (Lupe) and also make my Classified so I tried with my Alguacil Hacker but I failed miserably. The Moran’s group had some orders left so I tried to do it with my Moran and I failed too… So finally, totally upset with that damned HVT, I took him out with Lupe.

Conclusiones / Conclusions

La victoria para Corregidor fue de 9-0, lo cual me vino de maravilla tras la derrota anterior y, además, tenía 288 PV lo cual era bastante bueno considerando los 14 que me habían sobrado anteriormente. ¿Tuve suerte? La verdad que si pues saqué varios críticos que le jodieron la vida al pobre de Ricardo pero además de eso, creo que construí una muy buena lista para enfrentar a Aleph en esta misión: los remotos hicieron su trabajo y el equipo de Alguaciles estuvo espléndido.

The victory was for Corregidor forces: 9-0. My morale was boosted despite the last defeat and, also, I had 288 VP, a better number if you consider the 14 VP that I got in my last battle. Was I lucky? Yes, I got many critical hits on the good moments that fucked Ricardo’s strategy but also I think that I built a very good list for fighting against Aleph in this mission: the remotes did their work well and the Alguaciles worked as an A-Team. 

Durante la semana previa, estuve pensando varias opciones para poderme enfrentar a Aleph, generé varias listas y supuse escenarios en mi cabeza para ver como funcionarían dichas listas; me leí los perfiles de Aleph por completo y finalmente tomé la decisión de no recurrir a la táctica básica del Intruder y el humo sino a ir a por los remotos de batalla. Tanto trabajo -y unas excelentes tiradas- dieron fruto para esta victoria que me brindaba aún algo de posibilidades para poder clasificar al torneo.

Along the week before the match, I was thinking in many options for fighting against Aleph, I made many lists and supposed many scenarios in my head for checking the functionality of each list; I read all Aleph’s profiles and finally I took the decision of not using the classical Intruder-Jaguar combo and instead, bet on the battle remotes. All the training -and amazing rolls- gave me the victory that made me still have a chance for getting into classification zone for the Tournament.

Por último debo decir que el Wildcat ADH se está convirtiendo en mi pieza favorita como, irónicamente, defensa contra Hackers fuertes.

For last, I want to say that the Wildcat ADH is turning into my favorite piece against heavy hackers.
